ARTOPIA

A fantastic charity that helps heal and live through art.

So happy with how the 'Horned King' came out, but there are still issues with the electrical that may make this impossible to donate this year.

There are two jewelry pieces (pictures coming) that will be sent in and possibly a crocheted basketweave scarf if the King doesn't make it into the building...

This year's work was ok - wasn't really inpired as early as some of my pieces. I sat next to one of the judges and she gave me some really great compliments on my painting.

She said that it almost made it to the live auction/judging. :D

I found the shell and bone beads for these early, but matching up the crystals (that changed color every time you changed the lighting) made it tough to get a result I was happy with.

Still, they all sold - so I'm happy!

I planned two of these early, but the third (chain) one was a late-comer. I was worried that it wouldn't stand up to the other two, but someone still liked it enough to take it home. I'm glad! it was actually my favorite out of the three...

My very first year participating in Artopia and I felt incredibly inspired. My ceramic cat sconce sold for well over what I expected and I credit that all to my friend Paul who kept talking it up for anyone who looked remotely interested.

The jewelry pieces were lovely, I really didn't want to part with the opal honestly, but it was for a great cause!
